Tomorrow is ALL SAINTS SUNDAY - so bring a picture or momento of your dear departed ones for our memory table.
When you arrive you will receive a prayer slip so that you can add your dear departed saints to our prayer list for the day - those will be collected as we are singing "Be Thou My Vision" after the opening prayer.
We will also be lighting individually held candles - and dimming the lights - so don't be surprised.
Work on the choir loft has progressed significantly - the support and flooring are now in - carpet next week. We will contoinue to commune following the new pattern. You pick up bread or a gluten free wafer from me and then proceed either to the common cup behind me or to the pre-filled trays on either side. Empty cups may be deposted in the trash cans against the wall. When you arrive back at your pew feel free to pray or sing or bask in the presence of of God and encourage your little ones to do the same!
At the end of the early service we will be scattering rose petals in the Memorial Butterfly Garden and after the 10:45AM service we will be scatterign ashes of two departed saints of God as well as scattering rose petals. All ar invited to join us for this moving end of the service.
Don't forget there will be special envelopes in the bulletin for those who desire to contribute towarsds the Thaksgivign Baskets and Jean Myers asks that those who signed up to donate food for the Feeding of the Homeless this week to please being it in on Sunday.
A note about changes for Sunday school (you are bringing your kids and young people to Sunday school, aren't you?)
We are reorganizing our classes this week to balance the sizes. Starting this week, we will have three classes for those 5th grade and younger (Confirmation, High School and Adult classes will stay the same):
Preschool and Kindergarten Class – Teachers: Laura Wuyts and Tammy Colbert; meeting in the Nursery
1st, 2nd and 3rd Grade Class – Teachers: Joanna Vega and Michelle McCormick; meeting in Charter Hall
4th and 5th Grade Class: Teachers: Steve Hoch and Mark Colbert: Meeting in Charter Hall
The High School plus class continures to meet in the high school area and the adults are on the left (east) side of Charter hall immediatelt when you go through the door. All welcome always (you are planning on dropping by and checking out a class where we dive into scripture aren't you?
Finally, the Young Persons's Choir is singing at 10:45AM service - how cool is that!
